Invent Medic announces that the company’s first product Efemia Bladder Support has been approved for subscription with reimbursement in Norway from April 1, 2020. Up until today, Efemia is also approved for subscription in the regions Västra Götaland and Jämtland Härjedalen in Sweden and 21 municipalities in Denmark including Copenhagen.
Invent Medic launched Efemia in Norway in late 2019 together with the distributor Quintet. Their work to establish the product in the country will now be facilitated as urologists, gynaecologists and other healthcare professionals will be able to subscribe the product to their patients who will receive reimbursement for the cost.
The decision to approve Efemia for subscription with reimbursement was taken by the Norwegian governmental agency Helfa, that is responsible for administrating economic benefits within the Norwegian public health care system. Efemia is covered by a high-cost protection system, thus substantially reducing the cost for women who use Efemia regularly.
“It is satisfying that Efemia has been approved for subscription with reimbursement in Norway. The product will now become more accessible for Norwegian women seeking a simple, effective and non-surgical solution for stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Invent Medic has also been registered as a provider of Efemia to the Jämtland Härjedalen region in Sweden recently, so we are definitely seeing strong progress in the Nordic region as well as in the rest of Europe, says Invent Medic’s CEO Karin Bryder.
Invent Medic’s Norwegian distributor Quintet has extensive experience in assistance products for the women’s health segment, with strong outreach in the public health segment as well as in the retail segment. In the retail segment, Quintet has a close collaboration with the leading Norwegian pharmacy chain Apotek1, that offers a wide selection of medical assistance products in their pharmacies.
